The Brushes
4 gem and stone brushes, 4 bead brushes, 11 Metallic stud brushes, 5 sequin brushes and 2 pearl brushes. All sourced from the real thing.
If you are a tablet user, you’ll be pleased to know that a version of the brushes with pressure sensitivity enabled is included. (Please note that this feature only works in Illustrator CS5+).

Instructions
FINDING THE RIGHT FILE – IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
The information below will help you find the file that’s compatible with your version of Illustrator.
The file name ending ‘…_CS1’ works with Illustrator CS1, CS2, CS4 and CS4.
The file name ending ‘…_CS5’ works with Illustrator CS5 and CS6.
The file name ending ‘…_CC’ works with Illustrator CC only.
Pressure sensitive versions of the brushes for Illustrator CS5 to CC can be found in the
‘PRESSURE SENSITIVE BRUSHES_CS5_6 AND CC’ folder.
Please note! This product is compatible with Illustrator CS1 to CC only.
How to load the brush
- Open an Illustrator document.
- Open the ‘BRUSHES TAB’. This can be found in the ‘FILE>OPEN’ menu.
- In the tab’s corner menu select ‘OPEN BRUSH LIBRARY>OTHER LIBRARY…’ and select one of the brush files from the downloaded product folder. The brushes will open in a new tab.
- Click on any of the brush icons to transfer them to the main ‘BRUSHES TAB’.
Please note: to access the quick reference and example files simply open one of the brush files using the ‘FILE>OPEN’ menu and make the layers visible by turning them on on the ‘LAYERS TAB’.
Drawing with the Brushes
- Select the ‘brush tool’ from the ‘TOOLS MENU’.
- Select one of the brushes on the ‘brushes tab’ by clicking on it.
- Draw a line.
Or - Select an existing line or vector shape.
- Click on one of the brush icons on the ‘BRUSHES TAB’ and it will be applied to your line.
Editing the applied brush strokes
To change the color of your brush gems etc, amend the stroke color.
To adjust the size of your gems etc, change the stroke width.
Custom Settings
You can set your own spacing, size, scatter and rotation settings in the ‘SCATTER BRUSH OPTIONS MENU’ (shown below). Open this by double clicking on the relevant brush icon.
Move the sliders until you’re happy with the settings then click ‘OK’. Please note – any changes
you make here will affect all instances where you have used this brush so it’s worth making a copy
of the brush before changing the settings.
To duplicate a brush select the relevant brush icon and pick the ‘DUPLICATE BRUSH’ option from
the right hand corner menu on the ‘BRUSHES TAB’ as shown below.
